The black plague in Europe 1347-1350

For some reason last nite i started thinking about the plague in Europe in the 14th century. Apart from knowing it wiped out loads of people i didn’t know much about it. So i fired up the laptop and loaded Google. I knew the first entry would be Wikipedia which i usually ignore until i have read a few other facts. As usual though Wikipedia was fairly accurate but as always never take it as the truth and nothing but the truth. I did find a website i like better than Wikipedia and have linked it below. Coming out of the East, the Black Death reached the shores of Italy in the spring of 1348 unleashing a rampage of death across Europe unprecedented in recorded history. By the time the epidemic played itself out three years later, anywhere between 25% and 50% of Europe’s population had fallen victim to the pestilence.”
